(Ontario – ESA / OESC Compliance)
At EverLine Electrical Inc, we are committed to performing electrical work safely, transparently, and in full compliance with Ontario regulations. The following disclosure explains how our services operate in accordance with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), the Electricity Act, 1998, and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).
In Ontario, any individual or business performing electrical work for hire must hold a valid Electrical Contractor Licence issued by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA).
All electrical work performed by Everline Electrical Inc is completed by, or under the supervision of, a Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) and a designated Master Electrician, as required by Ontario Regulation 570/05.
Our licence number is displayed on official documentation and can be verified through the ESA contractor lookup system.
All electrical installations, repairs, alterations, and upgrades are performed in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and all applicable provincial safety standards.
The Electrical Safety Code governs the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems to reduce the risk of fire, shock, or equipment failure.
Most electrical work in Ontario requires a Notification of Work (commonly referred to as an electrical permit) filed with the Electrical Safety Authority before or shortly after work begins.
When required:
A notification will be filed with the ESA for the electrical work being performed.
The ESA may conduct inspections during or after the work.
Upon successful inspection, a Certificate of Inspection may be issued confirming compliance.
Customers are encouraged to retain copies of inspection certificates for insurance, safety, and property resale purposes.
Electrical systems often contain concealed wiring, outdated components, or hidden code violations that may not be visible during initial evaluation.
If previously unknown hazards or deficiencies are discovered during the course of work:
Work may need to be modified to comply with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
Additional labour, materials, or ESA notifications may be required.
Any additional work will be discussed with the customer prior to proceeding whenever possible.
Where existing installations are found to be unsafe or non-compliant with the current Electrical Safety Code, recommendations may be provided to improve safety and compliance.
Customers acknowledge that correcting such deficiencies may be necessary to:
Pass ESA inspection
Maintain insurance eligibility
Ensure safe electrical operation
To ensure safe and efficient service, customers agree to:
Provide safe access to electrical panels, wiring, and work areas
Inform technicians of known electrical issues or hazards
Secure pets or obstacles that may interfere with work
Delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may impact project timelines.
Electrical work may require temporary disconnection of electrical service. These interruptions are necessary for safety and code compliance. While we strive to minimize disruptions, Everline Electrical Electrical Inc is not responsible for losses resulting from required power shutdowns during service.
Workmanship provided by Everline Electrical Inc is warranted for 1 year, unless otherwise stated in writing.
This warranty does not cover:
Pre-existing electrical defects
Damage caused by third-party alterations or misuse
Failures unrelated to the work performed
Equipment covered under separate manufacturer warranties
Licensed Electrical Contractors in Ontario are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage, including public liability and property damage insurance, as part of their licensing requirements.
While every effort is made to perform work safely and professionally, Everline Electrical Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from pre-existing conditions, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our control.
By approving an estimate, signing a work order, or requesting electrical services, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined in this disclosure and understands that electrical work will be conducted in accordance with Ontario regulations and ESA safety requirements.
